We apologize for offending you, and anyone else for that matter. We weren’t “Gay Bashing”. The question was about being affiliated with an openly homosexual rapper as a DJ. we just wanted to point out that socially it wouldn’t be accepted. No matter how good the song was, people would generally shy away from it. That was the conversation. I edited and cut the video so people seen the parts that we thought were funny, in bad taste, YES, but none the less, we thought it was funny. We have always made light of serious situations. We weren’t trying to attack anyone in particular, we are extremely sorry if we came off as such.
I appreciate a response, but “faggot” is not funny. Read the paper today: 17-year-old committed suicide after being taunted with homophobic comments (including “faggot”) at school in Mentor.
As for “socially it wouldn’t be accepted”: until very recently (and still in some places) in the U.S., it was “socially accepted” for a white person and and African American person to be “friends,” on any level. In fact, it could get you killed. Since when is “being socially accepted” the standard for how we live our lives?
